The height of your door opening is the primary consideration for choosing the right strip size (width x thickness).
All applications are slightly different but these basic guidelines will help select the best size for your door opening.
Door Openings 6” High or Less - Create a lightweight pedestrian strip door, easy to pass through.
Door Openings 8' to 10' High - Create a strip door that can be used easily by a pedestrian but durable enough to face motorized traffic.
Door Openings 10' to 14' High - Create a durable heavy-duty industrial strip door heavy enough to stop airflow in larger openings.
Door Openings 15' Feet High or More - Create the ultimate heavy-duty strip door kit to seal off the largest openings in industrial facilities.
Note: Heavy wind or strong negative/positive airflow will create some situations where a wider/heavier size of strip will be more appropriate.
